I’ve just finished reading PZ Myers’ “The Happy Atheist” which made me, strangely enough, a happy atheist. It’s “very PZ”, which for me is a good thing as I enjoy his writing and combative style on Pharyngula, his blog. One thing I was was simultaneously surprised by (I was expecting a longer, more connected argument like Dawkins’ “The God Delusion” ) and pleasantly enjoyed was the snappy nature of the chapters. Each chapter, very much like an article or blog post was short and to the point. This, for me, made it an excellent bed time book. A quick chapter or two then off to the land of nod, sated in my atheist wickedness. This is a book that, perhaps shockingly for some, I found very agreeable.
